What size is the best size for me?
When purchasing an Ice Box you need to have a good think about the right size for you. Koala Cool Ice Boxes will work better when they are near their maximum capacity. The less air in the ice box (more goodies) means the Ice will stay colder for longer periods of time. The most popular size is the 62L followed by 50L, 93L, 73L and then the 123L.Why isn’t my icebox holding the ice as long as it says it could?
To get the best results from your icebox:- The day before use, load the Ice Box with ice to allow the Ice Box to cool down before use
- Always get the Ice Box cold before placing any goodies inside the Ice box
- When loading your Ice Box we suggest you load items that have already been cooled and, even better, frozen. This will allow the ice to be frozen even longer.
- Koala Cool recommends using home made block ice or frozen 2L bottles of water to keep your food and drinks cold rather than crushed/party ice as they last significantly longer. When using your homemade ice, you will receive many more days of frozen ice.
- Koala Cool recommends a 2:1 ratio of ice to product.
- Dry ice can be used however it must be wrapped in such a tea towel and no dry ice makes contact with the icebox as it can damage the internal walls.
- Keep the Ice Box out of direct sunlight whenever possible, keeping it in the coolest, shadiest location. If the Ice Box is left in the sun, try and cover it to reduce the effect of the sun’s heat.
- Koala Cool also recommends keeping the box shut as long as possible to keep the cold air inside the Ice Box. Limit the time the lid on the Ice Box is open. You want to allow the inside temperature to remain as low as possible for as long as possible. Try and limit the amount of times you open the lid each day.
- When water starts to appear in the Ice Box drain the water out by using the bung.
- If you are still having issues we suggest checking your lid seal.

After each use simply hose your Ice Box out. If there is an oddur left inside the Icxe box we recommend using warm soapy water to clean your icebox. Do not use harsh chemical / cleaners as these can affect the fibreglass lining. After cleaning the Koala Cool Ice Box always leave the lid open a little and the bung out to allow the Ice Box to vent and breath.Where can I find a dealer?
